POLICIES

MAKE UPS & MISSED CLASSES

  • There is one make up class per session. You may make up a missed class in another nights class if a wheel is available. If no wheel is available there are open studio hours that are always available for an opportunity to get your time in.

  • One Time Classes will be refunded in the form of a credit for a future class.

FINISHING YOUR WORK 

  • Potters need to keep track of timimg of getting their pieces finished before the end of the session if they do not plan on returning. If pieces are left to be finished after your session ends and you are not continuing, you may pay to attend the open studio sessions at the current rate.​

PICKING UP FINISHED PIECES

  • The studio is not a storage facility, please respect the space!!! Any pieces not picked up for any classes or workshops will be disposed of after 2 months from the end your class/course date. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to remember that you took the class and that your pieces are ready and waiting for you!!!!!​​

  • Sometimes new potter pieces are unpredictable! Pieces that do not "survive", due to errors in building are non refundable. 

  • Pieces may not be ready when expected. Kiln firing schedules vary as do cooling times.

GIFT CERTIFICATES

  • Gift certificates expire 6 months after date of purchase, do not forget that you have one!

By Appointment Wheel Lessons

$65/hour  Private Lesson 1 Finished piece to keep. Call studio to book.

(This class is offered weekly on Saturday mornings, REGISTER ONLINE).

2 Hour Make A Mug Wheel Class

You will learn the basics to make cylindars. Keep your best one and add a handle.

Pick your glaze color and it will be fired and glazed for you.

​By Appointment Hand Building & TPW  Special Events Hand Building Workshops

2 Hours $60 

Try one of the hand building methods of piching, coiling or slab to create pottery using approximately 2 lbs. of clay.  At the end of the class, you will pick a glaze from one of the 20 choices and your piece will be glazed for you and ready for pick up in approximately 3 weeks.

MEMBERSHIPS/NON INSTRUCTIONAL POTTERS (PURCHASE IN STUDIO)

This is for potters with experience who would like to use the studio and equipment to create. 

Includes unlimited open studio hours, storage shelf, reclaim bucket, 25 lb. bag of clay, glaze, 2 firings per piece.

 More Than A Month Memberships are good for 5 weeks from date of purchase.

STUDIO USE FOR HOME POTTERS

This is for potters with their own studio/wheels at home but who need glazes and a kiln.

You can glaze and fire your pieces at the studio.

You MUST purchase your clay from the studio at $75 for a 25 lb. bag. There current firing fees and hourly rate apply. NO OUTSIDE CLAY IS PERMITTED!!!!!

​​ADDITIONAL FEES

  • Tool Kit/$10

  • 25 lb. bags of clay/$75

  • Glaze Firing (HOME POTTERS)/Third Firings/..07 per cubic inch

  • Pieces over 300 cubic inches/.07 per cubic inch for glaze firing for all potters.

  • ​Open studio hours/$25 per hour.​

Open studio is available for membership potters and registered students of TPW. These are non-instructional studio hours.

​

OPEN STUDIO FOR REGISTERED STUDENTS/MEMBERSHIP POTTERS

  • Registered class potters may attend ONE HOUR before your class time on your class days, or any time during other open studio hours.

  • OPEN STUDIO MAY NOT BE ATTENDED DURING ANY OTHER CLASS TIMES, except on Saturday's between 12-2.​

  • Membershp potters pleae note the classes schedule.

FUNDRAISERS AT THE POTTERY WORKSHOP

Explore a creative fundraising experience with clay. Your workshop will be approximately 2-3 hours.

Call the studio for more information. Up to 20 participants at the studio.

$50 per hour + $6 pp materials fee. 100% of proceeds to your organization after TPW fees. 

You will make a piece of pottery with approximately 2 lbs. of clay. Participants will pick a glaze color and their pieces will be glazed for them and ready for pick up in 3 weeks.

​TROOPS/LARGE GROUPS/HOME SCHOOL COURSES

  • Creative experiences are 1.5 hours. 

  • Call/email the studio to reserve your meeting date.

  • Pieces will be available for pick up within 3 weeks.

  • $30PP

  • Minimum is 10 people to reserve.
